Biography
John Kørner (b. 1967) is a visual artist working within a wide range of media: paintings, ceramics, installations, video, glass, theather, and book productions. In his work, he embraces a wide range of current situations: consumerism, climate changes, warfare, and human relations. At first sight, we are touched by a colourful palette which pleases our eyes and senses until the moment where we realize the actual focus of the work.
Problems are Kørner's main subject; they serve both as a physical object and as recurring questioning. We all have problems and if we did not have any problems, how would we then regard our surroundings?
